Paris & the Loire Valley

Day 1  Paris
Fly to Paris and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, perhaps visit Champs-Élysées and admire the famous Arc de Triomphe, built to celebrate the military achievements of the French armies.

Days 2-3  Paris
Get your camera ready as you marvel at the beautiful Eiffel Tower, accompanied by your tour guide. Step into a glass elevator and ascend to the top and marvel at the sweeping views of Paris from its highest point, including iconic landmarks such as Notre-Dame Cathedral. Why not make the short journey to the Palace of Versailles, the fabulous home of King Louis XIV and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Choose to enjoy a scenic cruise down the Seine and visit the Louvre to get a close-up on the world’s most famous painting, the Mona Lisa.

Day 4  Paris to the Loire Valley
After a leisurely breakfast, pick up your car and drive to the lovely Loire Valley.

Days 5-6  Loire Valley
Over the next couple of days, explore picturesque villages and visit the many iconic châteaux synonymous with this region. Admire the incredible architecture and learn about the interesting history of the châteaux dotted around the Loire Valley. With over 300 in the area, you will be spoilt for choice. Hop in the car and opt to drive to Lavardin, Montrésor, or Yèvre-le-Châtel, known as some of the prettiest villages in France. Alternatively, visit some of the lush vineyards in the region and sample delicious wines or head over to Tours, the largest city and cultural capital of the area. Marvel at the carefully restored halftimbered houses, and enjoy a refreshing beverage in the beautiful square, Place Plumereau.

Day 7  Fly home
Drive back to Paris and drop off your car in time for your flight home.
