Itinerary
Fly to Paris. This afternoon is free for you to begin exploring. Stroll along the bustling Champs-Élysées and admire the iconic Arc de Triomphe before heading to one of the many Seine-side eateries to dine like a true Parisian.
Day 2 Paris
This morning, discover the delights of the Louvre gallery on an included tour. With reserved access, beat the crowds and spend more time discovering the masterpieces within, including the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. In the afternoon, consider exploring the winding cobbled streets of the Montmartre neighbourhood, home to the iconic Moulin Rouge windmill and Vincent Van Gogh’s home, or pay a visit to the newly restored Notre-Dame Cathedral.
Day 3 Paris
After breakfast, why not follow the Seine to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, opulent home of Louis XIV, the Sun King? Be wowed by the palace and wander the beautiful sprawling gardens stretching over 200 acres. Return to Paris in the evening and get a bird’s eye view of the city from the Eiffel Tower on your included tour.
Day 4 Paris to Bordeaux
Board a train and speed past the vineyards and châteaux of the Loire Valley before arriving in beautiful Bordeaux. While wandering the streets, look out for some of the vibrant street art that brings the city’s streets to life.
Day 5 Saint-Émilion
Today, explore the wonderful world of French wine on your included tour to SaintÉmilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a tasting in a traditional château, spend some free time roaming the cobbled streets and perhaps grab a delicious lunch before making your way back to Bordeaux for a leisurely afternoon.
Day 6 Bordeaux
Delve into the city’s medieval history at the Musée d’Aquitaine and the Porte Cailhau and take in fantastic views of Bordeaux from the top of the Tour Pey Berland. At historic Place de la Bourse marvel at the world’s largest reflecting pool, one of the city’s most photographed attractions. Spend a final evening sampling more of the culinary delights that have made this city a go-to destination for foodies.
