Classic Greek Island Hopping - Crete, Mykonos & Santorini

Day 1  Crete  
Fly to sunny Crete, transfer to your hotel and enjoy an afternoon relaxing beside the Aegean Sea. Take a refreshing dip in the hotel’s pool before watching the sunset with a drink in hand and sample some delicious local cuisine.  

Day 2  Crete  
With so much fascinating history and beautiful sites, enjoy exploring the island further over the next couple of days. Amble the streets of Crete’s old capital Chania, one of Europe’s oldest settlements and admire the iconic centrepiece of the Old Venetian Harbour. Take time to wander the surrounding picturesque, colourful cafés and restaurants, the red Firkas Fortress and the Islamic architecture of the Yali Tzami. Opt to venture further afield and delight in the scenic beauty of Balos Lagoon, one of the most photographed areas of Crete, or journey to the pretty White Mountains Forest Preserve.

Day 3  Crete  
Today, discover the east side of the island. Opt to take a boat over to Spinalonga Isle to explore the fortress and appreciate the panoramic views from the top. Immerse yourself further into the local mythology and stop by the Minoan Palace of Knossos or admire some exquisite artwork by El Greco at one of the historic museums.  

Day 4  Crete to Mykonos  
After breakfast, begin your Greek island hopping adventure and take a scenic ferry transfer to the glamorous island of Mykonos, one of Greece’s premier beach destinations. After transferring to your hotel, kick back and relax on the sandy shores.

Day 5  Mykonos  
Take some time out in the sunshine and relax at one of the island’s beautiful beaches before enjoying a refreshing drink at the many stylish beach bars. Meander the charming narrow streets of Mykonos’ old town amongst quaint shops and stroll down to Little Venice, situated on the charming waterfront to admire the colourful houses that look as though they are hanging over the sea.    

Day 6  Mykonos  
After a leisurely breakfast, perhaps venture to hidden coves, relax on a glorious beach or hike fantastic trails. Alternatively, enjoy the tranquillity of your hotel and make the most of the facilities on offer. For a magical evening, watch the sunset as you overlook the iconic Mykonos windmills before having a delicious dinner on the waterfront.  

Day 7  Mykonos to Santorini  
This morning, transfer to the port and board your ferry. Sail across the Aegean Sea to stunning Santorini and transfer to your idyllic hotel in time for a traditional lunch. Spend the afternoon marvelling at the spectacular caldera (vast crater) and relaxing in the serene atmosphere.

Day 8  Santorini  
Boasting luxurious boutique hotels with incredible vistas, a day can easily be spent watching the world go by. If you want to explore, the main village Oia offers a maze of local markets, quaint restaurants and laidback bars. Perhaps visit Akrotiri Archaeological Site in Fira to see the prehistoric remains of the ancient Minoan City.    

Day 9  Santorini  
Today, perhaps head off the beaten track to visit Perissa beach with its distinctive black sand, a truly unique experience. Alternatively, choose to hike the scenic caldera-side trail for breathtaking views of the volcanic landscape and the Aegean Sea and possibly take a dip in the therapeutic hot springs. In the evening, opt to savour a delicious dinner on board a catamaran and watch the magical colours adorn the skies as the sun sets below the horizon.    

Day 10  Fly home  
Transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
