Medieval Marvels and Beaches of Rhodes

Day 1  Rhodes Town          
Arrive into Rhodes and pick up your car before heading north to Rhodes Town. Check into your wonderful hotel; Rodos Park perched on the edge of town and spend the afternoon relaxing in the tranquil, renaissance-like gardens, or head to the rooftop garden for a refreshing drink overlooking the magnificent city. If time allows head for a peaceful stroll around Rodini Park, one of the most idyllic spots on the island and amongst the oldest parks in the world.          

Day 2  Rhodes Town          
Today uncover the narrow streets, classic architecture and medieval churches of Rhodes Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the gothic Palace of the Grand Master and the cobblestoned Street of the Knights. Later, head to Sokratous Street to discover its boutiques and galleries and stop for a drink and a bite to eat at Hippocrates Square.

Day 3  Rhodes          
After a leisurely breakfast, follow the coast to your beautiful beachfront hotel. If you are travelling between June and September, it is well worth taking the detour to the Valley of the Butterflies, where you can admire the annual migration of millions of Panaxia butterflies.  

Days 4-7  Rhodes  
Spend the next few days relaxing on the golden sands and indulging in the delicious tastes of local and fusion Mediterranean cuisine. If you’re feeling active, venture out and explore the many sights that ancient Rhodes has to offer. In the south sits the beautifully preserved Acropolis of Lindos, one of Greece’s most magnificent archaeological sites with an impressive location built on a steep cliff overlooking the ocean. Perhaps take a day trip to Symi island and explore its postcard-perfect port and hidden beaches and try their famous fried shrimp!          

Day 8  Rhodes          
Enjoy one last alfresco breakfast or a dip in the sea before heading to the airport to drop your car off in time for your onward flight.
