Cruising The Mediterranean: From Rome to Athens

Day 1  Rome, Italy  
Fly to Rome, Italy’s exciting capital, and settle into your hotel. This evening, perhaps stroll through the charming Trastevere district with a host oof restaurants to choose from.

Days 2-3  Rome  
With your hop-on hop-off bus ticket, explore the magnificent sights of Rome with ease and flexibility. From the ancient Pantheon and iconic Trevi Fountain to the beautiful Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica, there is a wealth to uncover.  The following day, join your guided group tour at the Colosseum and stand where gladiators once fought. Hear of the epic tales before ending with a visit to Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum.

Day 4  Cruise embarkation  
Transfer to Civitavecchia port and board Sun Princess^®.

Day 5  Naples  
Naples is a bustling metropolis, famed for its stately buildings and as the birthplace of pizza. It is also gateway to the beautiful island of Capri, the picture perfect Amalfi Coast, and the world-famous ruins of Pompeii.

Boasting well-preserved Venetian mansions and an atmospheric old town with labyrinthine alleys, Chania is an idyllic spot to uncover. It is also gateway to the breathtaking 4,000 year-old Minoan ruins at Knossos.

Day 8  Relaxing at sea

Day 9  Kusadasi for Ephesus, Turkey
Kusadasi showcases whitewashed stone houses, a palm-lined esplanade and bustling market stalls. Nearby stand the ruins of ancient Ephesus, once a Roman provincial capital and trading centre, and now a major archaeological site.

Day 10  Mykonos, Greece  
One of the most popular and photogenic Greek islands, Mykonos is an ideal destination to bask in the sun. Mykonos Town is a maze brimming with trendy bars and restaurants, while the beaches of Psarou and Elia offer an array of watersports.

Day 11  Disembark in Piraeus, transfer to Athens and fly home
