Iconic Italy: Rome to Amalfi

Day 1  Rome      
Fly to Rome and transfer to your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the City of Seven Hills. Stroll along its bustling streets, stopping to admire the many architectural gems, before spending the evening dining alfresco.      

Days 2-3  Rome  
Spend the next two days exploring this fascinating city. Skip the line at the Colosseum and enjoy your guide’s tales on visits to the arena floor and the Gladiator’s Gate. You will also get a further insight into ancient Rome visiting Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. Spend the rest of your time indulging in mouth-watering pizza, pasta and gelato, admiring Rome’s many timeless landmarks from the Trevi Fountain to the Pantheon, or by ambling through the city’s maze of back streets.      

Days 4-5  Rome to Sorrento  
Leave Italy’s vibrant capital behind on the local southbound train. In a little over an hour, you’ll arrive in Naples before taking a private transfer to your hotel in sophisticated Sorrento. Stroll along the orange and lemon tree-lined streets or perhaps relax in a café in Piazza Tasso, soaking up Sorrento’s laidback ambience. The following morning, join a group tour to the UNESCO World Heritage listed archaeological site of Pompeii. Wander amongst the ancient city ruins and learn about the infamous eruption of Mount Vesuvius, before climbing to the crater.      

Day 6  Sorrento to Amalfi Coast      
Be whisked away by transfer to your Amalfi Coast hotel. Whether you opt for bustling Amalfi, glamorous Positano, or peaceful Ravello, you’ll enjoy breathtaking vistas of sprawling cliffs, pastel-painted villages and glittering waters.  

Days 7-9  Amalfi Coast  
Spend the next three days enjoying la dolce vita amidst the mesmerising beauty of the Amalfi Coast. Explore the enchanting towns which cascade down the cliffs, hike along the plethora of coastal walking trails, or simply while away the hours on your hotel’s veranda.      

Day 10  Fly home      
Transfer back to Naples Airport in time for your flight home.
