Itinerary

Days 1-2  Verona
Fly to Verona and spend the next couple days exploring this enchanting city. Begin your second day with a visit to the impressive Roman amphitheatre, dating back to the 1st Century, before visiting some of the famous spots said to have inspired Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Days 3-5  Verona to Lake Garda
Pick up your car and drive to the stunning Lake Garda where you will be based for the next three days. A particular gem to visit is the town of Sirmione, located on a peninsula you need to cross the bridge of its famous Scaligero Castle to reach it. Why not also visit the alluring and picturesque Malcesine with its castle and narrow stone alleyways. Here you can take the panoramic cable car to Monte Baldo for spectacular views over the lake.

Days 6-7  Lake Garda to Lake Iseo
Enjoy a scenic drive to one of Italy’s best kept secrets, Lake Iseo, where you will spend the next couple of days. Lake Iseo is a nature lovers paradise with stunning turquoise waters, a huge array of hiking and cycling trails and fun activities to keep you occupied on the lake, but with a fraction of the crowds.

Days 8-10  Lake Iseo to Lake Como
Head to Italy’s arguably most famous lake, Lake Como. Visit the charming town of Como, wandering the beautiful streets and admiring the dramatic cathedral, before taking the short funicular ride to the quaint village of Brunate from which you can enjoy the best panoramas over Lake Como and the Alps. Take a trip to the ‘pearl of the lake’, Bellagio, for some of the prettiest views, or for the thrill seekers, perhaps visit Menaggio for its many excursions and sporting activities.

Days 11-12  Lake Como to Lake Maggiore
Take the scenic drive from Lake Como to Lake Maggiore, perhaps making a stop at Lake Lugano along the way. Spend the next couple of days lounging on sunny beaches, rowing on the picturesque lake, visiting the many nearby quaint villages as well as hiking or cycling the breathtaking trails of the area.

Day 13  Lake Maggiore to Lake Orta
Embrace the slower pace of life at your final stop, Lake Orta. The small lakeside town of Orta San Giulio is arguably one of the prettiest of the Italian Lakes. Characterised by charming lanes, Renaissance architecture, and squares filled with cafés and shops, you can simply spend your day admiring the town at leisure or alternatively enjoy one of the many nearby excursions.

Day 14  Fly home
Drive to Milan airport and drop off your car in time for your flight home.
