Luxury Rome & Ischia

Day 1  Rome        
Upon arrival in Rome, transfer to your hotel. Once settled, head out onto the historic streets of Rome, bursting with cosy cafes, tempting gelaterias, and world class art galleries. Spend the afternoon discovering the many hidden gems dotted around the city – perhaps stopping to admire the spectacular Trevi Fountain illuminated at night.        

Day 2  Rome        
Start the day early for a second view of the Trevi Fountain while the crowds are quieter. Just a short walk away you will find historic sites including The Spanish Steps and The Pantheon, one of the best-preserved monuments from ancient Rome. Stop for lunch before visiting the impressive Roman Forum, the ruins of some of the most important Roman government buildings. Spend the afternoon exploring this fascinating area including the Colosseum the venue of choice for many gladiator battles through history.          

Day 3  Rome        
Travel over to the Vatican City, the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church featuring the finest museums and stunning grounds to explore. Admire the incredible Sistine Chapel and perhaps go up to the top of St Peter’s Basilica for panoramas of the Vatican City and Rome.  

Day 4  Rome to Ischia        
It is time to leave Rome and travel to the tranquil island of Ischia. Transfer to Rome Station for your journey to Naples, passing beautiful Italian countryside. Upon arrival into Naples, you will be transferred to the port for your ferry to the lesser-known island of Ischia. Settle into your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening overlooking the sparkling sea.        

Days 5-7  Ischia  
Spend the next few days soaking up the Italian sunshine and discovering the beauty of Ischia. A volcanic island known for its thermal properties, bathe in bubbling natural hot springs and renowned thermal spas. Stroll through picturesque, manicured gardens and visit the imposing Aragonese castle. Explore neighbouring islands by ferry or simply relax at one of the many laidback beaches.

Day 8  Ischia        
Enjoy your final morning at the hotel before your transfer to Naples Airport for your onward flight.        

Please note Due to the seasonal nature of tourism along the Amalfi Coast, we recommend this itinerary for travel between late Apr – mid Oct. Outside of these months attractions and restaurants may be closed or operating at a reduced service.
