Day 2 Milan
Discover Milan’s most significant historical landmarks through a guided walking tour. Start by viewing Leonardo da Vinci’s world-famous masterpiece ‘The Last Supper’, delve into Milan’s medieval history at Sforza Castle, walk through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, brimming with designer shops, and see the spectacular Duomo, admiring its ornate, Gothic architecture, before ending your tour at the legendary Scala Theatre.
Day 3 Milan
Wander the cobbled streets around the ‘Golden Triangle’, home to many iconic, luxury brands from Versace to Armani. Later, why not visit one of the many museums and galleries, exhibiting the work of some of the world’s greatest artists, and end your day indulging in more of Italy’s mouthwatering cuisine.
Days 4-6 Lake Como
Take the scenic train through Italy’s lake region before arriving into the picturesque Lake Como. Make the most of the numerous idyllic villages surrounding the lake. Perhaps take the ferry over to the popular town of Bellagio, exploring the cobbled lanes, colourful buildings and its beautiful botanical gardens. Just another ferry away is the lesser-known town of Bellano where you can visit an impressive 15 million year old gorge. If seeking the best views, take the funicular from Como to the picturesque village of Brunate which offers dramatic views over the lake and Como town, and for even more stunning, panoramic views, take a short walk from there to the Voltiano lighthouse. While staying in Lake Como, try out a wide variety of seasonal outdoor activities including hiking, cycling and kayaking – all the while taking in the gorgeous Italian scenery.
Day 7 Lake Como
Take the train back to Milan airport in time for your onward flight.
