Sardinia's Countryside and Coast

Days 1-3  Alghero  
Welcome to Sardinia. Upon arrival into Olbia, pick up your car and journey west to the picturesque town of Alghero, best known for its Catalan Gothic buildings. The old town of Alghero is where much of the charm and character is found, due to its extensive Spanish influence. Explore the impressive city walls encircling a network of beautiful, cobbled streets, elegant buildings, and historic churches and be sure to visit to Porta Terra Tower, which offers fantastic views from the top. Just outside of the city, marvel at the stunning coastline and explore the various beaches and beauty spots.      

Days 4-8  Baja Sardinia  
Leave Alghero behind and drive through striking landscapes towards the Italian seaside resort of Baja Sardinia, where you will be spending the next few days. Sardinia’s beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world, spend your time unwinding on white sands or taking a dip in crystal blue waters, and opt to venture to the surrounding areas such as the stunning Maddalena Archipelago and Porto Cervo for even more enchanting natural beauty. In the evenings, stroll along the beach and head to one of the seafront restaurants for some delicious local cuisine.          

Day 9  Baja Sardinia      
Enjoy your final morning on the coast before driving back to Olbia to drop off your car.
