Venice, Florence and Amalfi Coast by Rail

Day 1  Venice        
Arrive into the enchanting city of Venice and settle into your hotel. Wander the city’s winding streets filled with charming boutiques and grand architecture, explore the maze of canals and witness a magnificent sunset from Rialto Bridge.

Days 2-3  Venice  
Begin with a guided tour of the city to take in all its major highlights, from admiring the views at St Marks Basilica to visiting the grand Doge’s Palace and taking a quintessential gondola cruise along the Grand Canal. Continue exploring the city at your own pace, perhaps taking a boat over to the beautiful islands of Murano and Burano, world-renowned for their artisan crafts. Day 4  Venice to Florence      
Hop on board the train to the UNESCO World Heritage listed city of Florence, widely considered to be the birthplace of the Renaissance. Soak up the city’s charming ambience and discover the best ‘aperitivo’ bars in true Florentine style.

Days 5-6  Florence

Day 7  Florence to Sorrento      
Today, board your train to Naples and take a private transfer to your hotel in Sorrento, nestled on the glistening Amalfi Coast. Wander the compact historic centre, browsing markets selling local ceramics and lacework before heading to the central promenade for unforgettable views over the bay with Mount Vesuvius’ imposing silhouette in the distance.

Days 8-9  Sorrento  
Rejuvenate and soak up the relaxed vibe of Sorrento. Stroll through lemon tree-lined streets, visit the manicured gardens of Villa Communale Park or perhaps enjoy a tasty bite to eat in the lively main square, Piazza Tasso. For those looking for an adventure, why not walk the incredible Path of the Gods or add a day trip to the explore the fascinating ruins of Pompeii. If you prefer some well-deserved downtime, simply bask in the sun at the hotel pool or perhaps relax on one of the beach clubs in Marina Piccola or head out of town to nearby Regina Giovanna or Puolo beaches. Day 10  Fly home        
Transfer back to Naples airport for your onward travels.
