Walks & Food of The Italian Riviera

Day 1  Pisa    
Fly to Pisa and enjoy a day at leisure before your tour starts.    

Day 2  Pisa to Chiavari    
Join your group transfer at the airport to Chiavari, an elegant coastal town on the Italian Riviera, where you will be based for the week.    

Day 3  Genoa    
Travel by train to the historic port city of Genoa to begin a guided tour of the city. Delight in a hands-on pesto-cooking class, paired with focaccia and wine.    

Day 4  Berissi Valley    
This morning begins with a gentle hike through scenic Berissi Valley. Enjoy an evening guided tour of Chiavari’s historic centre. Day 5 Cinque Terre Today is free for you to explore the region. The rail journey takes you to Monterosso al Mare, the first of Cinque Terre’s five coastal towns. Opt to visit the other beautiful villages, their pastel buildings set dramatically against the cliff face offer bountiful photo opportunities. Perhaps walk parts of the famous trail linking the villages.    

Day 6  Sestri Levante    
Visit an innovative wine producer in the seaside town of Sestri Levante and enjoy a couple wine tastings. Afterwards, join a chef to master the art of making Ligurian pasta using ancient recipes.  

Day 7  Portovenere    
Transfer by bus to the port town of Portovenere where you will catch a boat to Palmaria Island, a pristine landscape with just 50 residents!  A coastal walk showcases the island’s beauty before returning to Portovenere for some free time. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner with your group.  

Day 8  Transfer to Pisa and fly home
