Norwegian Fjords

Day 1  Amsterdam, Netherlands  
Fly to Amsterdam and transfer to your hotel upon arrival. Spend the day exploring either on foot or by taking advantage of the abundance of bikes around the city, discovering the leafy parks and elegant architecture of beautiful Amsterdam.

Day 2  Cruise embarkation  
Transfer to the Port of Amsterdam and board Celebrity Eclipse^®.

Day 3  Relaxing at sea

Day 4  Stavanger, Norway  
Stavanger is Norway’s third largest city and is where Europe’s largest collection of preserved wooden houses can be found. Opt to wander around the harbour while admiring the coloured building and the beautiful seascapes. It is also home to Norway’s oldest cathedral which was built in 1125 and still maintains its original AngloNorman architecture. Nearby are the city’s most iconic structures, Swords in Rock, which symbolise peace, unity and freedom.

Day 5  Skjolden    
orway’s innermost port is a place of incredible natural beauty. The idyllic village of Skjolden is located at the end of Norway’s longest fjord, the Sognefjorden, where the deep blue waters contrast against the green landscape and red-roofed houses. Close by are the magnificent Jotunheimen Mountains and Jostedalsbreen Glacier, alongside the hut of world-famous Austro-British philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein.

Day 6  Bergen  
The heart of Norway’s seafaring heritage and formerly Viking territory, Bergen is surrounded by deep fjords, towering mountains and sweeping glaciers. The UNESCO World Heritage listed old wharf town of Bryggen is well worth visiting – a district of Bergen full of museums, shops and galleries that lead to the picturesque harbourfront and historic fish market.

Day 7  Alesund  
Alesund is known for its distinctive Art Nouveau architecture, with elegant turrets, spires and decorative details that give the town a fairytale-like character. Shaped over thousands of years of glacial activity, the surrounding landscape features dramatic mountainsides and countless waterfalls cascading into stunning fjords. It’s a popular starting point for exploring the renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site of Geirangerfjord. Created over a succession of ice ages, when glaciers carved out deep fjords and shaped the mountains, it’s no surprise that if often appears on lists of the most spectacular places in the world.

Day 8  Relaxing at sea

Day 9  Disembark in Amsterdam, Netherlands and fly home
