Itinerary

Day 1-2  Oslo, Norway
Enjoy a complimentary transfer and arrive at your hotel by 5:30pm to meet your group before sitting down for a welcome dinner. On the second day, undertake a sightseeing tour of Oslo with views of Akershus Castle and the Royal Palace. Walk around the Opera House and marvel at the striking contemporary architecture of the new Bjørvika district. The afternoon is at your leisure to continue exploring as you wish.

Day 3  Oslo to Ulvik
Journey across the Hardanger Plateau, Europe's greatest mountain plateau and the largest national park in the Nordic countries, before arriving at your hotel in Ulvik.

Day 4  Ulvik to Bergen
Travel to the Nærøyfjord for the opportunity to visit Viking Valley and cruise this UNESCO-listed fjord on an optional experience. After, continue to the coastal city of Bergen on one of the world's steepest railways that passes by mountain rivers, plunging waterfalls and deep ravines to reach the coastal city of Bergen.

Day 5  Bergen
Using the knowledge of a local guide, explore this ancient Hanseatic port city and trace its historical trading roots to the picturesque and lively Fish Market. After seeing the 13th century Haakon’s Hall, there will be time in the afternoon to explore all that this exciting city has to offer.

Day 6  Bergen to Stavanger
Travel along this incredible coastline and sail across fjords passing an abundance of islands. Arrive in Stavanger, one of Norway’s oldest cities founded almost 900 years ago. Stavanger is a fusion of old world charm and cosmopolitan flair. Cruise the Lysefjord and admire the waterfalls and Pulpit Rock overhanging the fjord.

Day 7  Stavanger to Kristiansand
Enjoy the scenic drive around the southern cape of Norway and stop in Lyngdal to tour the Wild Salmon Centre with a biologist guide to observe these majestic fish in their own environment. Upon arrival in Kristiansand, partake in a walk of the city centre to show you the Domkirke and the Nupen Fountain.

Day 8  Kristiansand to Aalborg, Denmark
Say farewell to Norway as you sail across the Skagerrak strait to Hirtshals, Denmark. Your journey continues to Aalborg, Denmark's fourth largest city followed by a delicious dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 9  Aalborg to Odense
A vibrant mix of youthful energy and a blast from the past makes Aarhus a city with an energetic pulse. See the City Hall, ARoS Aarhus Art Museum and the largest public library in Scandinavia. En route to Odense, admire the ancient Viking runestones in the town of Jelling, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before crossing the Jutland Peninsula to the town of Odense, on the island of Fyn.

Day 10  Odense to Copenhagen
Explore Odense through the choice of two tours. Either visit the Hans Christian Andersen House, a museum dedicated to his life and works, or the St Canute's Cathedral and hear tales of Canute, Denmark's first royal saint. Afterwards, continue to Denmark's vibrant capital city, Copenhagen.

Day 11  Copenhagen
Today, explore this colourful city by visiting landmark sites such as Christiansborg Palace, Rosenborg Castle and admire Hans Christian Andersen's iconic Little Mermaid statue. Later, see the unusual Round Tower and Copenhagen Cathedral before having the afternoon at your leisure. Join your travellers for a farewell dinner at the Cofoco restaurant as you toast to the end of your Scandinavian adventure.
