Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Oslo
Fly to Oslo and make your way to your hotel before setting off to explore this wintery city. Wander down Karl Johans Gate, the city’s bustling shopping street lined with festive decorations and the perfect place to grab some Christmas gifts. Here you will also find the bustling Christmas Market selling sweet treats, toys, fun rides and more.
Day 2 Oslo
This morning head to Frogner Park. Here you will find the Vigeland Sculpture Park featuring more than 200 sculptures frosted by the cold winter air. Stroll along with a hot chocolate in hand and discover your favourite of the sculptures. After perhaps hire some ice skates and zip around on the Frogner Ice Skating rink. Enjoy a cosy lunch in one of the many restaurants before heading over to the Norwegian Opera House. Walk to the top of this imposing structure and be treated to a wonderful wintery scenery of the city and Oslofjord. In this area you will find the Munch Museum, housing an incredible collection of artwork including ‘The Scream’ by Edvard Munch. After a busy day exploring, relax and unwind in one of the many floating fjord saunas. If you’re feeling daring, even try ice bathing.
Day 3 Oslo
When Oslo is blanketed in snow, you will find there are many winter activities to keep you busy. Return to Vigeland Park to experience cross-country skiing or if you are looking for downhill slopes a short metro ride will take you to Skimore Oslo Resort which has a choice of ski runs both big and small. Alternatively hike around the snow coated woodland and be treated to picturesque views or take a short tram ride to Frognerseteren where you can have fun in the snow with tobogganing sleighs. Finish the day with a visit to Holmenkollen Ski Museum & Tower, the world’s largest collection of ski and winter gear. Climb the top of the ski jump hill and witness incredible panoramas of Oslo and beyond. Enjoy a final visit to the Christmas market. Soak up all the wonderful festive lights from the Ferris wheel.
