Itinerary
Day 1 Bergen
Arrive into Bergen, the gateway city to the fjords. Collect your car and make your way to your hotel. Set off and explore this walkable city, passing the bustling harbourfront famed for its historical fish market. In the evening take the funicular up Mount Floibanen for wonderful sunsets.
Day 2 Bergen to Hardangerfjord
Just outside the city centre, enjoy a stop at the reconstructed Fantoft Stave Church, a medieval structure boasting intricate wooden carvings, before continuing towards the mighty Hardangerfjord. Savour spectacular views as you wind along the fjords edge to your hotel.
Days 3-4 Hardangerfjord
Famed not only for its beauty, Hardangerfjord is known for its fjord side apple farms and locally crafted cider. Visit a local farm and enjoy delicious farm to table dining and sample refreshing cider. Take a drive along one of the stunning National Scenic Routes and discover spectacular viewpoints and natural marvels such as Furebergsfossen. On the water you can enjoy kayaking trips or rib safaris while thrill seekers can challenge themselves with via ferrata and the iconic Trolltunga hike. There is plenty to do in Hardangerfjord or simply sit back and soak up the landscapes at your hotel.
Days 5-6 Hardangerfjord to Bergen
After a wonderful time in the fjords, return to Bergen for a final night before heading to the airport for your onward journey.
