Norwegian Fjords & The Atlantic Ocean Road

Day 1  Oslo  
Fly to Oslo. Blending old with new, you will find many architectural delights in Oslo including the imposing Norwegian National Opera House.  

Day 2  Oslo to Hardangerfjord  
Collect your car and drive to Hardangerfjord. Stop to admire the famous Voringsfossen Waterfall.  

Day 3  Hardangerfjord  
Surrounded by stunning scenery, choose to explore the region by car along scenic routes or kayak through the fjords. Sample locally crafted cider at one of the shoreside apple farms.  

Day 4  Hardangerfjord to Bergen  
Continue to Bergen. Explore the historical area of Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or take the Floibanen funicular up Mount Floyen for amazing views of the city and beyond.  

Day 5  Bergen to Sognefjord  
Travel across wild and beautiful fjords to Sognefjord.  

Day 6  Sognefjord  
Spend today exploring Norway’s longest fjord. Perhaps take a cruise surrounded by towering peaks, admire the views from a scenic hike or embark on an exhilarating rib boat safari.  

Day 7  Sognefjord to Geirangerfjord  
Today head to Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage listed fjord and Norway’s most impressive. Take in the breathtaking views on this long drive.

Day 8  Geirangerfjord  
Take a kayak to the water, explore the mystical Seven Sisters Waterfall or relax by the pool surrounded by nature’s beauty. There is plenty of adventure to be had, including hikes and cycling.  

Day 9  Geirangerfjord to Alesund
Head to lovely Alesund, located in a beautiful coastal setting with unique art nouveau architecture.  

Day 10  Alesund to Kristiansund  
Travel to the coast for the famous Atlantic Ocean Road that winds and rolls across the archipelago creating perfect photo opportunities.

Day 11  Kristiansund to Trondheim  
Drive to Trondheim, the former Viking capital of Norway.  

Day 12  Trondheim  
Visit Nidaros Cathedral, an important pilgrimage site transformed over centuries from a simple wooden chapel to a grand gothic cathedral. Perhaps hire a bike and use the ‘Trampe’ bike lift.  

Day 13  Trondeim to Roros  
Drive to the former mining town and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Roros, known for its historical wooden buildings.  

Day 14  Roros to Lillehammer  
Stay overnight in the Olympic Village of Lillehammer.  

Day 15  Fly home  
Drive back to Oslo airport and drop off your car in time for your flight home.
