Make your visit to Terceira Island unforgettable by exploring some of the craters, volcanoes and caves the island is known for. Get a lay of the land with a visit to the iconic Serra do Cume Viewpoint, which offers sweeping views over the island’s unique patchwork of fields and dramatic coastline, before heading to the natural volcanic pools in Biscoitos for a swim. Afterwards, it’s time to explore the sprawling network of lava tube caves at Gruta do Natal before witnessing the bubbling mud pots and gas vents of Furnas do Enxofre. Depending on the weather, you will finish your tour by enjoying local cheeses in Quinta dos Açores or with a stop at the picturesque lake found in Lagoa das Patas National Park. This is one of the few places in the world for such an adventure so make sure to take it all in.
