Highlights of Lisbon

Day 1  Lisbon
Fly to Lisbon. Upon arrival, take a private transfer to your hotel, before heading out to explore the sights and sounds of Lisbon. Make your way to the historic Praça do Comércio, home to impressive architecture and overlooking the vast Tagus River estuary. Later, why not visit the Time Out Market and choose from a plethora of revered eateries?

Day 2  Lisbon
After breakfast, head to the renowned Compadre Cooking School and spend the morning learning how to make Portugal’s delicious Pastel de Nata! This afternoon, jump on the famous number 28 tram and weave your way through Alfama, Lisbon’s oldest district, hopping off to admire sweeping city views from the Castelo de São Jorge, before continuing to Bairro Alto, taking in the sights as you go. Immerse yourself in this lively neighbourhood of pastel painted houses and buzzing restaurants before enjoying the sunset from a viewpoint, or perhaps a rooftop bar.

Day 3  Sintra
Today, explore beyond the city as you embark on your included Sintra Small Group Tour. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the inimitable Pena Palace sits atop a rocky hillside, it’s brightly coloured façade a feat of romantic design. Soak up the fairytale setting of the palace and explore the lovely village of Sintra below before returning to Lisbon this afternoon.

Day 4  Fly home
Enjoy a final Pastel de Nata before waving goodbye to this wonderful city and transferring to the airport for your flight home.
