Day 1  Ljubljana    
Fly into Ljubljana, pick up your car and make your way into the city. Tonight, why not experience the fantastic outdoor dining scene and immerse yourself in Slovenian culture.

Day 2  Ljubljana    
Today, perhaps wander over the creatively designed Triple Bridge with its three different level walkways, to reach Presernov Trg, a marvellous square boasting elegant architecture in the heart of the city. This afternoon visit the magnificent Ljubljana Castle. Dating back to the 16th Century it can be reached by a 70m funicular that leaves from the old town. Here, admire the stunning views across the river and city centre.    

Day 3  Ljubljana to Portoroz  
Today, head for Portoroz on the Adriatic coast. Along the way, why not explore the magnificent caves at Postojna or visit the mysterious cliffside Predjama Castle.    

Days 4-5  Portoroz    
Spend the next two days relaxing on Slovenia’s picturesque coast, enjoying the balmy weather, fresh seafood and lovely sea views. Take time to visit historic Piran; explore its romantic, winding streets and striking Venetian architecture, before ending the day with a glorious sunset.

Day 6  Portoroz to Lake Bled  
Drive through the vineyards of the Vipava Valley, before arriving at famous Lake Bled. This region offers breathtaking vistas and an abundance of outdoor pursuits, including watersports, hiking and biking.    

Day 7  Lake Bled    
Today, explore Lake Bled’s iconic landmarks; perhaps hop on a traditional Pletna boat to visit the lake’s tiny island, or climb the ramparts at the clifftop castle.    

Day 8  Lake Bled to Lake Bohinj    
Your next stop is the tranquil Lake Bohinj, approximately a 30 minute drive away. Nestled on the edge of Triglav National Park, this scenic area is brimming with imposing mountains, spectacular waterfalls and a plethora of walking trails.    

Days 9-10  Lake Bohinj    
Over the next two days, explore this captivating region at your own pace. Enjoy boat trips and hiking, or simply relax on the peaceful shores. For an extra special experience, opt to take the cable car up Mount Vogel for unbeatable views of Lake Bohinj and the Julian Alps.  

Day 11  Fly home    
Drive to Ljubljana airport and drop off your car in time for your flight home.
