Itinerary
Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel before heading out to explore the wintery streets of Stockholm. Begin by heading to the Old Town of Gamla Stan where you will find a wonderful Christmas market to enjoy delicious treats, admire local handicrafts and warm up with a cup of ‘gløgg’, a spiced mulled wine.
Day 2 Stockholm
Spend the day at Skansen, the world’s oldest open-air museum. Travel back in time as you explore the 14th Century farmsteads and learn about the customs and traditions. During the festive season, there is a charming Christmas market filled with sweet treats, gifts and Carole singing. In the evening wander the beautiful streets illuminated by festive lights, stopping to admire the City Hall and Stockholm cathedral.
Day 3 Stockholm
In addition to all the wonderful Christmas festivities, Stockholm has plenty of fantastic museums to visit. For fans of Sweden’s most famous export, the ABBA Museum offers a fun and interactive way to learn about the iconic group while a visit to the Vasa Museum showcases the world’s best preserved 17th Century ship. Enjoy a fika before perhaps skating across the ice in Kungsträdgården central park.
Day 4 Stockholm
Spend a final morning in Stockholm before heading back to the airport for your onward flight.
