Istanbul & Cappadocia Discovered

Day 1  Istanbul                  
Arrive into Istanbul and transfer to your hotel, your base for exploring this enchanting city. Your afternoon is free to begin discovering Istanbul’s rich history and culture.              
         
Day 2  Istanbul              
This morning explore Istanbul’s majestic, imperial monuments, from ornate Byzantine churches to magnificent Ottoman mosques and palaces. Visit the sumptuous Topkapi Palace and discover its colourful history as the court of the Ottoman Empire, and explore the beauty of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Later, embrace a local tradition and experience a revitalising hammam treatment at one of the city’s many Turkish baths.                  
               
Day 3  Istanbul              
Today, take a leisurely cruise along the famous Bosporus Strait and then explore the labyrinth of alleys and lanes of the Grand Bazaar in the heart of Istanbul’s Old City. Watch artisans at work, sample warming tea and take in the rich aroma of spices. Later, indulge in a delicious mezze at a local restaurant.      

Day 4  Istanbul to Cappadocia  
This morning transfer to Istanbul airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Once you’ve arrived, transfer to your hotel. Boasting an enchanting scattering of fairy chimneys and hidden cave dwellings, you are free this afternoon to explore this topographical wonderland at your leisure.              
             
Day 5  Cappadocia      
This morning, enjoy an epic hot air balloon ride to enjoy panoramic views of this incredible region. This afternoon, perhaps head for the one of the many accessible trails around Güllüdere Vadisi, or Rose Valley. Enjoy the awe-inspiring vistas of fairy chimneys bathed in a rainbow of colours across the valley. This evening, enjoy a sunset dinner at your hotel and marvel at this psychedelic landscape as the day draws to a close.          
           
Day 6  Cappadocia              
Today, perhaps visit the UNESCO World heritage Site, Gӧreme Open Air Museum. Once a Byzantine monastic settlement, discover its hidden churches and monasteries. Intricately carved into the soft rock, they are decorated with a beautiful array of delicate frescoes and red ochre motifs. Later, why not discover the ancient cave village of Cavusin and Pasabag and venture into the subterranean world of the Kaymakli Underground City, renowned as the areas main highlights.

Day 7  Cappadocia      
This morning, bid farewell to this ethereal landscape before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.
