Istanbul & Mauritius: Bazaars & Beaches

Days 1-3  Istanbul, Turkey  
Arrive in Istanbul and take a transfer to your hotel. Set across two continents, Istanbul offers a fascinating blend of culture and history waiting to be discovered. Explore the ancient Byzantine and Ottoman sites of Sultanahmet Square including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace. Take a cruise down the Bosphorus Strait to see more of the city’s famous landmarks: the impressive white marble Dolmabahçe Palace, beautiful Ortaköy Mosque and iconic Maiden’s Tower. Don’t miss the vibrant Grand Bazaar, the perfect place to pick up souvenirs and a box of delicious Turkish delight.

Day 4  Istanbul to Mauritius      
Take a flight to Mauritius, a gem of the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival, transfer to your lovely hotel and let the relaxation begin.

Days 5-11  Mauritius        
Spend the next week soaking up the sun on this beautiful island. Renowned for its breathtaking beaches, make the most of Mauritius’ picture-perfect white sands as you find the island’s best spots to unwind. Discover a spectacular underwater world, with fantastic snorkelling and diving opportunities in turquoise lagoons and colourful coral reefs. For a contrast to the scenic shoreline, head inland to uncover some of the island’s lush terrain, exploring dramatic landscapes marked by dormant volcanoes, hidden waterfalls and rainforests thriving with wildlife. To experience the laidback island culture, perhaps visit charming fishing villages and try some of the wonderful local cuisine which blends French, African and Asian influences.

Day 12  Mauritius        
Transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
