72 Hours in Mumbai

Day 1 Mumbai                    
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.        

Day 2 Mumbai                    
This morning enjoy a half day city tour visiting some of Mumbai’s many historic sights including the Gateway of India, the Hanging Gardens and prestigious Marine Drive, which features Art Deco buildings on one side and the Arabian Sea on the other. The afternoon is at leisure to relax or to do some shopping in Mumbai’s many markets and malls.                  

Day 3 Mumbai                  
See a different side of Mumbai today. Starting with a short ride on a local commuter train (outside of rush hour!), visit the huge 140 year old Dhobi Ghat, said to be the world’s largest open air laundry. Back at Churchgate Station, see the city’s ingenious food delivery system in action as you watch the dabbawalas sort thousands of tiffin tins before being delivered to Mumbai’s hungry office workers. Later explore Dharavi, home to over 1 million inhabitants and Asia’s largest slum. On this unobtrusive and sensitively run walking tour, prepare to leave any preconceptions behind as you explore the narrow alleyways and witness the pride, ingenuity and positivity of the residents.                    

Day 4 Mumbai                    
Transfer to the airport.    

Please note:  A visit to Dharavi may not be for everyone, so if preferred an afternoon tea in the iconic Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai can be easily substituted
