Itinerary
Take a morning flight to Varanasi and in the late afternoon head to the River Ganges to watch the evening ganga aarti (river worship) ceremony from the famous riverside ghats (ceremonial steps). These stepped terraces leading down to the river’s edge are primarily used for bathing and Hindu puja ceremonies. With the chanting of priests and flaming torches, the atmosphere is spellbinding.
Day 2 Varanasi
Rise early for a magical early morning boat ride. At dawn, Varanasi’s ghats come alive as pilgrims come to the river to perform their daily rituals. Later, explore Sarnath, an important Buddhist place of pilgrimage located just outside the city.
Day 3 Varanasi to Delhi
Transfer to the airport for a flight back to Delhi.
