The stunning Kathmandu Valley is a hiker’s paradise and on foot is certainly the best way to explore. Drive out to one of the oldest temples in Nepal , UNESCO World Heritage listed Changunarayan Temple, the starting point for your moderate 3-4 hour hike. Pass through remote villages inhabited by colourful ethnic groups such as the Tamangs and the Newars as the trail ascends up to reach the village of Telkot, home to a scenic Hindu temple. The climb to Nagarkot is breathtaking - and in more ways than one! You’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, before enjoying a well-earned rest on the drive back to Kathmandu.
