Day 1  Fly to Colombo

Day 2  Colombo to Negombo  
Fly overnight and, upon arrival in Colombo, transfer to your hotel in nearby Negombo for a night.

Days 3-5  Negombo to The Cultural Triangle  
Head towards the Cultural Triangle. Visit the former capital city of Polonnaruwa and explore the ruins of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend a morning at the impressive rock fortress of Sigiriya before experiencing a game drive in Minneriya National Park, where you will search for herds of majestic elephants.

Days 6-7  The Cultural Triangle to Kandy  
Head to the hill country capital of Kandy with a stop at Dambulla cave temples, a complex of five caves filled with Buddha images and statues. Continue with an optional stop at a spice garden en route. The next day, visit the market and the beautiful Peradeniya Botanic Gardens on the outskirts of the city. Later, enjoy a show of Sri Lankan music and dance before a visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Days 8-9  Kandy to The Tea Country  
Travel through Sri Lanka’s spectacular tea country by train. Pass by emerald-hued plantations as you wind your way through this picturesque landscape before transferring by road to the town of Nuwara Eliya in the heart of the tea producing region. Enjoy a full day to relax and soak up the surroundings or opt to explore this stunning region by bicycle or on a trek.

Days 10-14  Tea Country to The Southwest Coast  
Leave the cooler climate of the tea country in favour of your beach resort on Sri Lanka’s beautifully rugged southwest coast. Spend your days relaxing around the pool or on the beach. In the evening, dine on delicious food and sip a cocktail whilst enjoying the sun set.

Days 15-16  Transfer to Colombo airport and fly home
