Sri Lanka & Maldives

Day 1  Fly to Colombo, Sri Lanka  

Day 2  Negombo, Sri Lanka  
Upon arrival at Colombo airport, transfer to your hotel in nearby Negombo.  

Day 3  Negombo to the Cultural Triangle  
Drive northeast to the Cultural Triangle.  

Days 4-5  Cultural Triangle  
Explore the ruins and temples of the former capital city of Polonnaruwa, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Sigiriya or ‘Lion Rock’, an impressive rock fortress and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hike to the top is challenging but worthwhile to see rock frescoes, palace ruins and unbelievable views. Head to Minneriya National Park for a game drive.  

Day 6  Cultural Triangle to Kandy  
Head to Dambulla cave temples, a complex of five caves filled with Buddha statues. Continue to the hill country capital of Kandy.  

Day 7  Kandy  
Spend today exploring Kandy, including the bustling market, the British Garrison Cemetery and the beautiful Peradeniya Botanic Gardens. Enjoy a Sri Lankan music and dance show and visit the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Day 8  Kandy to Nuwara Eliya  
Travel on one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. Pass by emerald-hued plantations as you wind your way through this glorious landscape before transferring by road to your hotel in Nuwara Eliya.  

Day 9  Nuwara Eliya  
Enjoy a full day in the heart of the tea producing region to soak up the surroundings. Opt to explore this stunning region by bicycle or on a trek.  

Day 10  Nuwara Eliya to Negombo  
Take a walk around Nuwara Eliya’s town centre before returning to Negombo.  

Day 11  Negombo to the Maldives  
A 90 minute flight from Colombo brings you to the idyllic Maldives. Enjoy a scenic speedboat transfer to your island paradise home for the next 7 nights.  

Days 12-17  Maldives  
Spend your days relaxing by the pool or lazing on the stunning white sand beach. Those more active can enjoy excellent snorkelling in crystal clear waters and a host of watersports.

Day 18  Fly home
