Day 1  Fly to Colombo

Days 2-3  Wilpattu NP  
Upon arrival in Colombo, transfer to Wilpattu National Park. Spend two nights in a tented camp on the edge of the park enjoying game drives in search of elephants, sloth bears and leopards.

Day 4  Wilpattu NP to Jaffna    
Journey to Jaffna and take a tour of the main city sights. Visit the colourful Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil Hindu Temple and the Jaffna Public Library, one of the first buildings to be rebuilt after the the decade long civil war that ended in 2002. End at the ruins of Jaffna Fort, once one of the greatest Dutch forts in Asia.

Day 5  Jaffna Peninsula    
Today you will explore the Jaffna Peninsula. Visit the Hindu temple at Keerimalai and stop at the ancient port of Dambakola Patuna before heading to the northernmost point of Sri Lanka, Point Pedro. Return to Jaffna via the ruins of the ancient Buddhist Kadurugoda Temple.

Days 6-8  Jaffna to Trincomalee  
Set off early for Trincomalee and enjoy a city tour of the port town, visiting historic Fort Frederick and the revered Hindu temple of Thirukonesvaram Kovil. Spend the next couple of days relaxing by the pool or on the beach.

Days 9-10  Trincomalee to the Cultural Triangle
Depart Trincomalee and head to your hotel in the Cultural Triangle. Visit the rock fortress of Sigiriya, or ‘Lion Rock’, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and look for elephants in Minneriya National Park.

Day 11  Cultural Triangle to Colombo    
Head back to Colombo and enjoy a tour of Sri Lanka’s buzzing capital city.

Days 12-13  Fly home
