Days 1-2  Fly to Auckland

Days 3-4 Auckland
Arrive in cosmopolitan Auckland and make your own way to your hotel. Explore the city at your leisure, discovering trendy restaurants and cool waterfront bars. Opt to go up the Sky Tower and see the stunning views across the harbour.

Day 5  Auckland to Rotorua        
Pick up your car and drive to Rotorua. This evening, learn about Mâori culture with an immersive storytelling experience. Witness the famous haka and indulge in a delicious hangi feast.

Day 6  Rotorua to Taupo        
Head south to Lake Taupo, your base for exploring the spectacular Tongariro National Park. Perhaps visit the raging waters at Huka Falls, before relaxing by the waterfront.

Day 7  Tongariro NP      
Join a guide who will lead you on an eight hour journey across volcanic scenery on one of New Zealand’s greatest day hikes, the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.

Day 8  Taupo to Wellington      
Venture south towards Wellington, the heart of New Zealand’s art and cultural scene.

Day 9  Wellington to Nelson      
Board the ferry to cross the scenic Cook Strait to the South Island and drive to the pretty coastal town of Nelson.

Days 10-11  Abel Tasman Coast Track
This morning transfer to Kaiteriteri for the start of your three day hike. Cruise along the coastline to begin a 6 mile walk in stunning Abel Tasman National Park. The next day, walk 11 miles through native forests and along golden beaches.

Day 12 Abel Tasman NP to Nelson  
Enjoy a final day hike boasting beautiful coastal vistas. Stop for lunch before the last leg to Marahau, then return to Nelson by coach.

Day 13  Nelson to Hokitika      
Follow the coast road south to Hokitika and browse the arts and craft shops in this small coastal town.

Day 14  Hokitika to Franz Josef        
Drive to Franz Josef village, admiring the changing scenery.  
Day 15 Franz Josef  
Take a helicopter flight over Franz Josef Glacier before landing on the surface for a guided ice hike.

Day 16  Franz Josef to Queenstown        
Drop your car in downtown Queenstown and make your own way to your hotel.

Days 17-19  Queenstown to Hollyford Track        
You’ll be picked up from your hotel this morning for your guided 3 night Hollyford Track walk. Travel by road to the Hollyford Valley before starting the 12 mile walk alongside the Hollyford River. The track is undulating and passes close to several picturesque waterfalls. Visit beautiful Lake Alabaster and learn about the area’s geology, before taking an exciting jet boat ride along the Hollyford River. Afterwards, walk through native forest and reach a fur seal colony at Long Reef.

Day 20  Hollyford Track to Queenstown        
Explore the coastal paths at Martin’s Bay Spit this morning, home to wild beaches and towering sand dunes. Return to your lodge for lunch before taking a scenic helicopter flight over Milford Sound.  From there, journey back to Queenstown by coach.  
Day 21 Queenstown  
Enjoy a half day tour taking in the best sights of Queenstown including wine tasting and a boat trip on Lake Wakatipu.

Day 22  Routeburn Track
The Routeburn Track follows age-old Mâori trails through the heart of Fiordland National Park. Marvel at the scenery on a guided 10 mile hike.

Days 23-24  Fly home
