Itinerary
Arrive in Christchurch and join your fellow travellers for a welcome meeting.
Day 2 Christchurch to Omarama
Explore Christchurch on a city tour and sample local produce in Geraldine before traversing Waitaki Valley to picturesque Lake Benmore. Finish your day in the quaint town of Omarama.
Day 3 Omarama to Invercargill
Journey to Invercargill and visit popular Transport World for a guided tour of classic vehicles followed by dinner.
Day 4 Invercargill to Te Anau
Today, travel through sprawling farmland and pastures to Templeton Flax Mill for a guided tour. Continue to Riverton, a quaint seaside town and onto stunning Te Anau.
Day 5 Milford Sound
Uncover the awe-inspiring beauty of Fiordland National Park as you make your way to Milford Sound for a sightseeing cruise before spending the night in Te Anau.
Days 6-7 Te Anau to Queenstown
Experience country life as you spend time with a local farmer at Real Country before visiting picturesque Arrowtown as you make your way to Queenstown. Enjoy your time in Queenstown at leisure.
Day 8 Queenstown to Christchurch
Bask in panoramic mountain views as you travel to Lake Tekapo before arriving into Christchurch.
Day 9 Christchurch to Punakaiki
Board the scenic TranzAlpine train bound for Arthur’s Pass and visit Greymouth before arriving at your coastal retreat in Punakaiki.
Days 10-11 Punakaiki to Nelson
Journey along South Island’s scenic west coast on the Heritage Highway to Nelson. Enjoy day 11 at leisure.
Day 12 TranzAlpine Train
Cross the Cook Strait to Wellington and take a city tour on arrival.
Days 13-14 Wellington to Napier
Head to Napier on a scenic drive through verdant scenery. On day 14 enjoy a walking tour of this architectural Art Deco gem. The afternoon is free to spend as you wish.
Day 15-16 Napier to Rotorua
Travel past Lake Taupo and visit the Huka Falls. Venture to Rotorua, North Island’s geothermal capital. An orientation tour takes in views of lovely Lake Rotorua. Enjoy the following day at your own pace.
Day 17 Rotorua to Auckland
Follow the meandering trail of the Waikato River to Auckland. Visit The All Blacks Experience to celebrate New Zealand’s rugby heritage and achievements through the ages.
Days 18-19 Auckland to Bay of Islands
Drive the scenic Hibiscus Coast to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds to learn of the country’s history in the Bay of Islands. Spend the next day exploring the beautiful area.
Day 20 Bay of Islands to Auckland
After a relaxing morning, travel through lush farmland back to Auckland. Enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow travellers this evening.
Day 21 Auckland
Your tour comes to an end after breakfast.
