Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina
Day 2 Buenos Aires, Argentina
Welcome to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.
Day 3 Buenos Aires
Today, explore this celebrated city at your own pace. Discover the cobbled alleys and characterful architecture of San Telmo, the colourful streets of La Boca, and historical Recoleta. This evening, head out to dine on delicious Argentine cuisine before perhaps attending a tango show.
Day 4-5 Board Majestic Princess®
Transfer to the port and board Majestic Princess®, settle into your cabin in preparation for an exciting cruise ahead. The following day, explore more of Buenos Aires before setting sail.
Days 6-8 Relaxing at sea
Day 9 Punta Arenas, Chile
Spend time exploring historic Punta Arenas. The city was founded in 1848 and is located on the Strait of Magellan. It is Chile’s southernmost city and is often used as the start or end point for trips further into Patagonia, including Torres del Paine National Park and Tierra del Fuego.
Day 10 Ushuaia, Argentina
Ushuaia lies at the tip of Tierra del Fuego, with an atmospheric setting between snow-topped mountains and the icy waters of the Beagle Channel. Wander through the quaint streets and sample local cuisine in one of the many restaurants.
Day 11 Relaxing at sea
Days 12-15 Antarctica
Spend the next few days experiencing wild Antarctica, cruising through serene icescapes and keeping your eyes peeled for incredible wildlife such as seals, penguins, and whales. Make sure to marvel at the breathtaking shores that are lined with uniquely shapes icebergs, stunning glaciers, and majestic mountains.
Day 16 Relaxing at sea
Day 17 Falkland Islands
Here, you’ll find local pubs, a post office, and opportunities to mingle with the hardy locals at the distinctly British capital of Stanley. The biologically diverse Falkland Islands are also home to whales, dolphins, enormous albatross and an abundance of penguins nesting on the rugged coastline.
Days 18-19 Relaxing at sea
Day 20 Montevideo, Uruguay
Uruguay's capital city of Montevideo is a charming, with a wonderful blend of impressive architecture, where art deco buildings stand alongside neoclassical mansions, fantastic street markets, tango halls and picturesque plazas.
Day 21 Disembark in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Disembark Majestic Princess® and get ready for your next adventure. Make your way to your hotel, where you will have a welcoming meeting with your fellow travellers and tour leader this evening.
Day 22 Buenos Aires to Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil
Fly to Iguassu and visit the Jasy Pora community in the lush Misiones rainforest. Accompanied by a local expert, learn more about this indigenous community and their harmonious relationship to the environment. After, cross the border into Brazil and enjoy the incredible views from your vehicle.
Day 23 Foz do Iguaçu
Return to the Argentine side and explore the trails that will lead you directly over the falls of the Devil’s Throat, the highest and deepest of the falls. Opt for a boat tour to get a closer look of the falls before returning to Brazil.
Day 24 Foz do Iguaçu to Paraty
Fly to São Paulo and continue by road to Paraty. After checking into your hotel, wander the cobblestoned streets and browse the shops of this stunning coastal town and its historical centre.
Day 25 Paraty
Today is free to explore Paraty. Why not visit the cachaça distilleries or take a boat into the bay to explore the nearby islands and beaches?
Day 26 Paraty to Ilha Grande
Embark on a short, scenic drive to Angra dos Reis before boarding a ferry to Ilha Grande, home to some of Brazil’s most beautiful beaches.
Day 27 Ilha Grande
Spend today unwinding on the beach and snorkelling in the sea or perhaps opt to hike Pico Do Papagaio.
Day 28 Ilha Grande to Rio de Janeiro
Travel by ferry and road to Rio de Janeiro. The rest of today is yours to explore this memorable city. Opt to visit the iconic Christ the Redeemer, ride the cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain for incredible views, or relax on the famous Copacabana Beach.
Days 29-30 Fly home
