Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro

Day 1  Fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina    

Day 2  Buenos Aires      
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.      

Days 3-4  Buenos Aires  
Take a guided tour of the different neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires. See the cobbled alleys and colonial architecture of San Telmo, the colourful streets of La Boca and historic Recoleta. This evening, savour a traditional Argentine dinner and watch an enthralling tango show. The following day is free for you to explore more of Buenos Aires. Perhaps opt to experience the ‘real’ Argentina on an authentic ranch visit deep in the heart of the Pampas, where you can watch the gauchos display their skills.      

Day 5  Buenos Aires to Iguazú      
Falls After breakfast fly to the town of Puerto Iguazú, the gateway to one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world.      

Day 6  Iguazú Falls      
Discover the Argentine side of Iguazú Falls. Follow the walkways which meander through the national park to see the falls from a number of viewpoints and listen to the roar as the water thunders over the top.      

Day 7  Iguazú Falls to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil      
Make your way across the border into Brazil and enjoy incredible panoramic vistas. Spanning across 275 separate falls, this magnificent view is sure to take your breath away. After, fly on to breathtaking Rio de Janeiro.      

Day 8  Rio de Janeiro    
Today discover two of Rio’s most well-known sights with a private guide. Take the train to the top of Corcovado Mountain and stand below the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer before riding the cable car up Sugarloaf Mountain for great views of the city.      

Day 9  Rio de Janeiro    
Spend today at leisure. Why not unwind on one of the city’s legendary beaches, go behind the scenes of the magnificent Maracanã Stadium or wander the leafy hilltop neighbourhood of bohemian Santa Teresa?    

Day 10  Rio de Janeiro to Búzios      
Depart Rio and drive along the scenic Atlantic coast to Búzios. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or head into town to discover the variety of shops, restaurants and bars.  

Days 11-12  Búzios      
With two days at leisure there is plenty of time to explore the many beaches and walking trails dotted around this picturesque peninsula.  

Days 13-14  Transfer to Rio de Janeiro and fly home
