72 Hours in Rio de Janeiro

Day 1  Rio de Janeiro      
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.  With the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps unwind on the beach before dining in one of the beachfront restaurants to soak up the wonderful atmosphere.

Day 2  Rio de Janeiro      
Today discover two of Rio’s most iconic sights with a private guide. Take the train to the top of Corcovado and stand below the huge statue of Christ the Redeemer before riding the cable cars up Sugarloaf Mountain for unforgettable panoramas.

Day 3  Rio de Janeiro      
Spend today exploring at your own pace. Simply relax on one of the city’s legendary beaches, opt to go behind the scenes of the iconic Maracanã Stadium, take photos at the colourful Escadaria Selarón steps, or wander the leafy hilltop neighbourhood of bohemian Santa Teresa. If you wish to leave the bustle of the city there’s no need to travel far; visit the beautiful botanical gardens, home to over 8,000 species of plants, or head to Parque Lage, a historic estate at the foot of Corcovado. In the evening, why not experience Rio’s famed samba in the lively Lapa district?

Day 4  Rio de Janeiro      
Enjoy your final morning at leisure before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
