Chilean Lake District Discovery

Day 1  Fly to Santiago    
           
Day 2  Santiago      
Arrive in Chile’s capital and transfer to your hotel.

Day 3  Santiago      
Head out on a tour of cosmopolitan Santiago. Visit the Plaza de Armas, the artistic neighbourhood of Bellavista, and enjoy the views from the top of San Cristóbal Hill. Spend the afternoon at leisure soaking up more of this wonderful city.

Day 4  Santiago to Pucón      
Fly to Temuco and pick up your car. Take to the open road and drive to the beautiful town of Pucón, lying on the shores of Lake Villarrica with stunning views of the Villarrica volcano, it is an outdoor enthusiast’s delight.

Day 5  Pucón            
Today is at leisure to enjoy the impressive surroundings. Perhaps go for a hike in the Huerquehue National Park or kayak on the pristine lake.

Day 6  Pucón to Huilo Huilo      
Set off early across the northern Lake District to your lodge for the next couple of nights, located near Huilo Huilo. This beautiful biological reserve is in the heart of the Chilean Patagonian rainforest and in the shadow of the Andes.

Day 7  Huilo Huilo            
Today is free to explore the vast reserve. Opt to trek to picturesque waterfalls, explore forest trails by bike or simply relax by the surrounding lake.

Day 8  Huilo Huilo to Puerto Varas            
Drive to lovely Puerto Varas, known as 'City of Roses' due to the beautiful bushes of the flowers around the town. Enjoy stunning vistas of Osorno Volcano and Llanquihue Lake with the rest of the day free to relax.

Day 9  Puerto Varas            
Spend the morning exploring beautiful Vincent Pérez Rosales National Park.  Head out on a catamaran cruise of Todos los Santos Lake, soaking up spectacular views of the surrounding volcanoes. Stop for lunch in the charming village or Peulla before perhaps taking a walk through the Valdivian rainforest to reach the impressive Bride's Veil cascade.

Day 10  Puerto Varas            
Enjoy a day at leisure. Perhaps opt for a scenic kayaking trip on idyllic Ralun Bay.

Days 11-12  Fly home      
Drive to Puerto Montt airport and drop off your car in time for your flight home.
