Classic Costa Rica

Days 1-2  Central Valley  
Fly to San José, the bustling capital of Costa Rica. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in the lush Central Valley. Enjoy the following day at leisure. Perhaps visit a local coffee plantation and learn how to produce the perfect blend.

Day 3  Central Valley to Tortuguero NP  
Depart early and journey by road towards the Caribbean coast through the tropical landscape. Continue by boat along winding canals through the jungle.

Day 4  Tortuguero NP  
Explore the Tortuguero National Park on guided group tours by boat and by foot. This fascinating landscape is home to a huge variety of wildlife including monkeys, sloths and many species of colourful birds.

Day 5  Tortuguero NP to Arenal  
Travel by boat and road to the small town of La Fortuna, in the shadow of the impressive cone of the Arenal Volcano.

Day 6  Arenal  
Take an exciting treetop tour along hanging bridges through the rainforest. Enjoy the sensational views and learn about the different flora and fauna of the area.

Day 7  Arenal  
The day is yours to relax by the pool or perhaps visit the wonderful hot springs.

Day 8  Arenal to Monteverde  
Today’s scenic journey to Monteverde will take you through beautiful vistas and across the pristine waters of Lake Arenal.

Day 9  Monteverde  
This morning, enjoy a fantastic excursion to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Look out for the diverse range of birdlife and other wildlife which call the forest home.

Day 10  Monteverde to Manuel Antonio NP  
Today, drive from the cool temperatures of the cloud forest to the warmer climate of the Pacific coast. Stay in the popular town of Manuel Antonio beside the beautiful national park.

Day 11  Manuel Antonio NP  
Discover the national park on a leisurely guided hike. Look out for toucans, brightly coloured macaws, sloths and troops of playful monkeys whilst admiring the breathtaking ocean views.

Day 12  Manuel Antonio NP
