Classic Costa Rica & Cancun

Days 1-2  Central Valley, Costa Rica  
Arrive in San José, the bustling capital of Costa Rica. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in the lush Central Valley. Enjoy the following day at leisure in Costa Rica’s scenic heartland, perhaps visit a local coffee plantation and learn how to produce the perfect blend.

Day 3  Central Valley to Tortuguero NP    
This morning journey through the lush jungle by road, followed by a boat, as you make your way towards the Caribbean coast. Arrive in the village of Tortuguero and learn about the sea turtles which visit the area every year to nest (Jul - Sep).

Day 4  Tortuguero NP    
Join a guided tour to discover the diverse wildlife of Tortuguero National Park, keeping your eyes peeled for monkeys, sloths and a variety of colourful birds.

Day 5  Tortuguero NP to Arenal    
Take a boat back through the jungle and travel by road to the charming town of La Fortuna, with its jaw-dropping backdrop of the Arenal volcano.

Days 6-7  Arenal  
Enjoy an exciting treetop tour along hanging bridges through the rainforest. Appreciate the sensational views and learn about the different flora and fauna of the area. The following day is free to spend at your leisure. Why not opt to visit the rejuvenating hot springs for a relaxing soak?

Day 8  Arenal to Monteverde    
Travel past scenic vistas and cross the picturesque waters of Lake Arenal as you make your way to beautiful Monteverde.

Day 9  Monteverde    
This morning, enjoy a fantastic excursion to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Look out for the diverse range of birdlife and other wildlife which call the forest home including Costa Rica's national animal, the three-toed sloth.

Day 10  Monteverde to Manuel Antonio NP    
Today, drive from the cool temperatures of the cloud forest to the warmer climate of the Pacific coast. Stay in the popular town of Manuel Antonio beside the beautiful national park.

Days 11-12  Manuel Antonio NP    
Discover the national park on a leisurely guided hike. Look out for toucans, brightly coloured macaws, sloths and troops of playful monkeys whilst admiring the breathtaking ocean views. Enjoy the following day at leisure exploring this magical park some more. Perhaps relax on the beautiful beaches or try out some of the adventurous activities available around the park.

Day 13  Manuel Antonio NP to Cancún, Mexico  
Transfer to San José and fly to the sunny shores of Cancún, where you will be met by a transfer to take you to your beachside hotel.

Days 14-17  Cancún  
Spend several days unwinding in pure bliss on this wonderful stretch of Caribbean coastline. Swim in the azure waters of the sea and wander along the powdery, white sands of this tropical paradise. Perhaps choose to venture out to explore more of the fascinating Yucatan Peninsula, with day trips visiting the awe-inspiring Mayan archaeological sites of Chichén Itzá or Tulum.

Day 18  Cancún  
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
