Classic Costa Rica & Osa Peninsula

Day 1  Central Valley                                
Upon arrival in San José transfer to your hotel which is located a short drive outside of the city.                                

Day 2 Central Valley        
Enjoy a day at leisure. Why not visit a coffee plantation to learn about the coffee producing process from bean to cup?  

Day 3  Central Valley to Tortuguero NP                
Depart early and journey by road towards the Caribbean coast through an increasingly lush and tropical landscape. Continue by boat along winding junglelined canals to reach your lodge. Enjoy an afternoon tour to the village of Tortuguero and learn about the sea turtles which visit the area every year to nest (Jul - Sep).                                

Day 4  Tortuguero NP      
Explore the Tortuguero National Park on guided tours by boat and by foot. This unique environment is home to a huge variety of wildlife including monkeys, sloths and many species of colourful birds.            

Day 5  Tortuguero NP to Arenal      
Travel by boat and road to the small town of La Fortuna, in the shadow of the impressive cone of the Arenal Volcano.        

Day 6  Arenal                
Take an exciting treetop tour along hanging bridges through the rainforest enjoying sensational views and learning about the different flora and fauna of the area.

Day 7  Arenal                  
Enjoy a day at leisure to relax by the pool or visit the hot springs.              

Day 8  Arenal to Monteverde      
Today’s scenic journey to Monteverde will take you through beautiful scenery and across the waters of Lake Arenal.        

Day 9  Monteverde            
Enjoy a fascinating early morning excursion into the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Look out for the diverse range of birdlife and other fauna which call the forest home.  

Day 10  Monteverde to Manuel Antonio              
Drive from the cool temperatures of the cloud forest to the warmer Pacific coast to stay in the town of Manuel Antonio beside the popular national park.        

Day 11  Manuel Antonio                          
Discover the national park on a leisurely guided hike. Look out for toucans, brightly coloured macaws, sloths and troops of playful monkeys whilst taking in the breathtaking ocean views.                    

Day 12  Manuel Antonio              
Enjoy a day at leisure and discover more of this beautiful area.        

Day 13  Manuel Antonio to Osa Peninsula          
Transfer to the Osa Peninsula and check into your lodge in the hear t of the rainforest.            

Days 14-15  Osa Peninsula                      
Enjoy two full days exploring the jungle and discovering the wildlife of this hotspot of biodiversity.            

Day 16  Osa Peninsula to San Jose                      
Transfer to the airport and fly back to San Jose for your onward arrangements.
