Costa Rica Road Trip - City to Surf

Day 1  San José    
Fly to San José. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.        

Day 2  San José to Sarapiquí    
After breakfast, pick up your car. Start your exploration of this beautiful country as you drive to Sarapiquí. The afternoon is yours to enjoy the walks and wildlife of this biodiverse region.          

Day 3  Sarapiquí to Arenal      
Drive north to dramatic Arenal and spend the afternoon at leisure.  

Day 4  Arenal        
See the rainforest from a new perspective as you enjoy a tour exploring Arenal’s hanging bridges. Venture through the forest enjoying sensational views and fantastic opportunities to spot wildlife.          

Day 5  Arenal        
Today is free to explore Arenal further.  

Day 6  Arenal to Monteverde      
Embark on the scenic journey to Monteverde, taking in Lake Arenal, the largest lake in Costa Rica.        

Day 7  Monteverde        
Today, head out on a tour to discover Monteverde’s magical cloud forest. Home to hundreds of species of birds and plants, the forest is a delight to explore.  

Day 8  Monteverde to Tamarindo      
Say goodbye to the lush cloud forest and drive to the striking Pacific coast.  

Days 9-10  Tamarindo        
Spend the next couple of days relaxing and soaking up the tropical Costa Rican sun in lovely Tamarindo.    

Days 11-12  Fly home      
Drive to San José airport and drop off your car in time for your flight home.
