Rainforest, Rivers & Rapids

Day 1 San José to San Ramón      
Arrive into San José and transfer to your hotel in San Ramón in the Central Valley.              

Days 2-3 Rincón de la Vieja NP    
Drive to Rincón de la Vieja. Enjoy a guided hike through the rainforest to reach the park’s hot springs.              

Days 4-5 Rio Perdido    
Transfer to the 4★ Rio Perdido, a lovely lodge situated in a natural oasis in the forest. Relax in the hot springs and explore the rainforest. Embark on an exciting aerial adventure; soar along a series of ziplines and navigate suspended bridges across the canyon and over the treetops.            

Days 6-8 Arenal    
Enjoy a stand up paddle board lesson. Paddle across the lake with the majestic Arenal Volcano looming in the background and search for wildlife on a canopy tour along hanging bridges.      

Days 9-10 Pacuare River              
Adventure awaits! Raft exciting grade II-III rapids to reach your lodge and spend two nights amongst pristine rainforest. This tour includes a stay at a charming but simple lodge but why not upgrade to the stunning 4★ Pacuare Lodge?            

Days 11-14 Puerto Viejo              
Raft along the Pacuare River on another exciting white-water adventure on grade III-IV rapids before enjoying some time at leisure on the laidback Caribbean coast at Puerto Viejo. At the end of your tour, drive back to San José.
