Galapagos with Silversea

Day 1  Quito  
Fly to Quito and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2  Quito  
Spend the day exploring Ecuador’s charming capital city and be sure to visit the Equator Monument, standing along the equator at latitude 0°.

Day 3  Quito to San Cristóbal Island
Rise early, take a flight to San Cristóbal and board Silversea’s Silver Origin. San Cristóbal is formed by dormant volcanoes and is one of the oldest islands in the archipelago.  Sail to Kicker Rock, a vertical remnant of a former tuff, to spot blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies and frigatebirds.

Day 4  Bartolomé and Santiago Islands  
Anchor in sight of the volcanic moonscape of Isla Bartolomé, at Sullivan Bay. Opt to board a Zodiac boat to shore, ascend a boardwalk of 388 steps and pass through the arid volcanic landscape and look out for wildlife. Later, spend time swimming and snorkelling before heading to Buccaneer Cove, a colourful inlet on Santiago Island.

Day 5  Isabela and Fernandina Islands  
See Pacific green turtles, rays, whales, and dolphins at Punta Vicente Roca, one of the marine sites Isabela Island has to offer. Discover the marine treasures of one of the world’s most fascinating stretches of water, the Bolivar Channel, which slices between two islands to the northwest of this spectacularly diverse archipelago. Admire the spectacular sight of the low, lava-forged coast of Punta Espinoza on Fernandina Island.

Day 6  Isabela Island  
On approach to Tagus Cove, see Galápagos penguins and flightless cormorants. Once ashore, choose to hike through an incense tree forest leading past Darwin Lake to a viewpoint on top of a spatter cone and spot land birds. Later, sail over to Elizabeth Bay on Isabela's west coast.

Day 7  Floreana Island  
Spend this morning snorkelling Floreana's Post Office Bay before heading to Champion Islet for excellent deep-water snorkelling opportunities. Cruise to Floreana Island's northernmost point, Punta Cormorant for the opportunity to see flamingos.

Day 8  Santa Cruz Island  
Anchor in front of Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz, where the Charles Darwin Research Station is located as well as the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center for giant tortoises and land iguanas.

Day 9  Santa Cruz & Guy Fawkes Islands  
Disembark for a walk on Santa Cruz discovering Cerro Dragon. Enjoy this visit that mixes a brackish water lagoon inhabited by shorebirds and some elusive pink flamingos before enjoying a spot of deep-water snorkelling around Guy Fawkes Island, a group of four islets situated on the northwestern side of Santa Cruz Island.

Day 10  San Cristóbal Island to Quito  
This morning, disembark in San Cristóbal and board a flight to Quito for your final evening in Ecuador.

Days 11-12  Fly home
