Spend the day exploring the lives, beliefs, cuisine and traditions of Old Town Quito. Begin your walking tour with a local resident guide, part of an NGO that has created a walking tour of this neighbourhood. Your guide will give you insight into life in this neighbourhood. You will visit local shops and explore San Francisco market, one of the oldest in the capital. From the market head to La Ronda to meet some of the local artisans and sample their wares. From La Ronda head north to the Old Town to explore the beautiful old buildings of this quarter. Later enjoy a lunch of Ecuadorian specialities at Casa Gangotena. After lunch visit the fascinating Casa del Alabado Archaeological.
