Luxury Amazon Riverboat Adventure

Day 1  Lima          
Upon arrival transfer to the 5★ Country Club Lima Hotel in the upmarket district of San Isidro.          

Day 2  Lima          
See the highlights of Lima with a guided tour. Peru’s dynamic capital city offers a wealth of historical sites.          

Day 3  Lima to Iquitos          
Fly to the Amazon city of Iquitos and transfer to the port of Nauta where you will board the spectacular 5★ Zafiro, your riverboat for the next 3 nights.          

Days  4-5 Peruvian Amazon    
Spend the next two full days voyaging through creeks and inlets of Pacaya Samiria National Reserve aboard Zafiro in search of the abundant wildlife that inhabits this remarkable region. Explore the waterways by skiff boat and the jungle trails on guided walks, then relax on the observation deck and keep your eyes peeled for monkeys, dolphins and rare bird species.          

Day 6  Iquitos to Sacred Valley          
Bid farewell to the rainforest and transfer back to Iquitos for your flight to Cusco. Transfer to your hotel, the 5★ Tambo del Inka, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, nestled in the foothills of the Sacred Valley.        

Day 7  Sacred Valley          
Enjoy a full day excursion through the majestic Sacred Valley. Visit the Inca town of Pisac, experiencing the bustle of a local handicraft market and later explore the striking fortress of Ollantaytambo.          

Day 8  Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu        
Take the 360 Machu Picchu Train to Aguas Calientes. Continue to the magnificent citadel of Machu Picchu; with its mysterious past, impressive architecture and wow-factor views this is sure to be a highlight! Stay at the 4★+ Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel, overlooking the Andean mountains.    
           
Day 9  Machu Picchu to Cusco        
This morning is at leisure. Choose to return to Machu Picchu to explore this magical area further. Later board the Hiram Bingham, A Belmond Train to Cusco and enjoy live entertainment and a sumptuous dinner on board. On arrival in Cusco, check into the opulent 5★ Palacio del Inka, A Luxury Collection Hotel. Designed in the style of a colonial convent and centrally located facing the famous Koricancha, or Temple of the Sun, this stunning property is a fantastic base to spend time in this delightful city.            
           
Day 10  Cusco            
Enjoy a guided walking tour taking in Plaza de Armas, San Pedro Market and the fortress ruins of Sacsayhuamán, from where you can marvel at sweeping panoramic views of Cusco town.  
           
Day 11  Cusco to Lima      
Fly to Lima for your onward arrangements.
