Escape from Siem Reap to see the beauty of the countryside. Drive to the shores of the Tonlé Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and climb aboard a wooden motorboat to explore its waters and mangrove forests. Cruise through the Kompong Khleang floating village and see this unique way of living and head to a local family house for lunch (from Apr – Sep water levels may mean you visit by car). See the inside of a typical house and watch the boats pass by while enjoying a packed lunch. Return to land and drive to Beng Mealea, far and away Angkor’s most atmospheric temple.
