A Journey Through Laos

Days 1-2  Luang Prabang  
Fly overnight to Luang Prabang. Visit Xieng Thong, Luang Prabang’s most revered temple and then wonder through the bustling night market.      

Day 3  Luang Prabang & Kuang Si Falls      
Take a city tour including temples, the National Museum and a climb to Phousi Hill for striking panoramas. After lunch head out of town to the beautiful Kuang Si Falls, set within dense jungle.      

Day 4  Luang Prabang & Pak Ou Caves    
This morning board a private traditional river boat and enjoy a scenic cruise upstream to the sacred Pak Ou Caves. Have lunch on board before crossing the Mekong to venture along the river’s edge by tuk-tuk, discovering ancient temples once used by royalty and authentic hill tribe villages.      

Day 5  Luang Prabang to Phonsavan      
Depart early for the drive to Phonsavan. This pleasant journey passes a variety of landscapes ranging from gentle hills to mountainous peaks, with ethnic villages perched on the steep slopes.      

Day 6  Plain of Jars      
Enjoy a morning tour to the Plain of Jars, one of Laos’ three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Day 7 Phonsavan to Vang Vieng Travel by road to Vang Vieng. Upon arrival relax and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery.  

Days 8-9  Vang Vieng to Vientiane  
Spend the morning exploring the caves and rivers of Vang Vieng before enjoying an afternoon at leisure. The next day, drive to Vientiane.      

Day 10  Vientiane      
This morning visit the Buddha Park, a curious collection of over 200 Buddha statues close to the Mekong. Enjoy an afternoon city tour before attending a traditional Baci blessing ceremony in the evening.      

Days 11-12  Fly home
