Itinerary
Journey north from Luang Prabang by train through a dramatic landscape of dense jungle clad mountains and rice paddies. Upon arrival at Oudomxay transfer to the enchanting 4★ Nam Kat Yorla Pa Resort, set in an idyllic riverside location.
Day 2 Oudomxay
Explore some of the Laos’ untouched villages and gain an insight into the life of the colourful hill tribe communities. Visit a remote Akha village set at 1,000m above sea level and stop for a picnic lunch, then walk to a Hmong village which offers stunning panoramic views.
Day 3 Oudomxay to Nong Khiaw
Drive to Muang Khua, on the banks of the Nam Ou River, to board a private long tail boat for one of the most scenic journeys in Laos.
Day 4 Nong Khiaw to Luang Prabang
Travel back to Luang Prabang by road then boat.
