Bangkok & Koh Samui for Families

Day 1  Fly to Bangkok

Day 2  Bangkok  
Arrive in Thailand’s exciting capital and settle into your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day to unwind and make use of your hotel facilities, or head out to explore the many characterful markets and restaurants along the river.

Days 3-4  Bangkok  
The next couple of days are free to explore at leisure. The kids will love riding in tuk-tuks as a fun way to get around the city or the ferries which are typically low down, close enough to admire the fish. Make sure to visit the popular railway market where a vibrant country market has sprouted along its tracks before heading to the famed floating markets. Alive with colour, tropical fruits and other delights, you will be amazed what you can find as you are taken by paddle boat through the canals. The whole family will be undeniably impressed by a visit to Bangkok’s most popular temples, The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, the beauty and intricacy of which will amaze children and adults alike. Cruising along the maze of Bangkok’s waterways by longtail boat is a memorable way to experience another side of the city, seeing local life along the Khlongs and hopping off at different spots on the way. Alternatively, the parks of Lumpini and Chatachuk offer a fantastic way to escape the city bustle and, if visiting on a weekend, Chatachuk boasts a famous weekend market where you can eat to your heart’s delight.

Day 5  Bangkok to Koh Samui  
Leave city life behind and head for island bliss. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Koh Samui, a coconut palm-fringed island blessed with stunning beaches and clear waters.

Days 6-14  Koh Samui  
Spend your time here enjoying some well-deserved rest and family fun. Lap up the sun on the beautiful beaches, many of which are ideal for families with their shallow, clear waters, fun watersports and beachside cafés. Whilst you are here, why not embark on an exciting cruise through Ang Thong Marine Park, a pristine collection of jutting limestone cliffs, unspoilt islands and turquoise waters. There are also fantastic spots for snorkelling among the nearby islands such as Koh Tao and Koh Phangnan, which are perfect for swimming amongst tropical fish and colourful coral reefs. In the evenings, the Fisherman’s Village offers a welcoming atmosphere filled with delicious food stalls, music and local crafts.

Days 15-16  Fly home
