Itinerary
Days 2-3 Hanoi
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Spend time exploring the vibrant streets of Hanoi. Visit some of the city’s main highlights and take a walking tour of the atmospheric and bustling Old Quarter.
Day 4 Hanoi to Halong Bay
Drive to the coast to board your overnight cruise and enjoy lunch as you sail into this breathtaking bay. Itineraries vary but typically include the chance to kayak and visit hidden caves, as well as time to relax on the sun deck.
Day 5 Halong Bay to Hue
Enjoy breakfast and lunch on board before cruising back to Hanoi. In the evening, board an overnight train to charming Hue.
Days 6-7 Hue
Arrive into Hue. The following day, explore the ruins of the magnificent Imperial Citadel before taking a cyclo pedicab through the Old City and visit some of Hue’s pagodas. In the afternoon, continue to the striking tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh.
Days 8-9 Hue to Hoi An
Say goodbye to Hue and transfer to historic Hoi An where you will have the day at leisure to wander the colourful streets and canal. The following day, embark on a morning tour to My Son, capital of the ancient Champa Kingdom. Later, take a walking tour to explore the cobbled backstreets and colourful buildings of Hoi An.
Days 10-11 Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
Transfer to Danang airport and fly south to Ho Chi Minh City. The next day, travel out of the city to the Cu Chi Tunnels to explore this incredible network of underground passages. In the afternoon, take a walking tour visiting some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
Day 12 Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta
Transfer to Can Tho and board your traditional rice barge for an overnight cruise. Travel through the heart of the Mekong Delta in comfort and watch riverside life from the deck and explore the river’s tributaries. With a comfortable night’s sleep and local cuisine served in the charming dining room, this is the perfect way to experience these famous waterways.
Days 13-14 Transfer to Ho Chi Minh City and fly home
Additional Options: No visit to Vietnam would be complete without some time relaxing on one of its beautiful beaches. Why not extend your stay at one of Hoi An’s beach hotels to enjoy its wonderful coastline? Alternatively, take a short flight to Nha Trang, or the islands of Con Dao or Phu Quoc.
