Ho Chi Minh City & Central Vietnam Beach

Day 1  Ho Chi Minh City    
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to your hotel. As Vietnam’s largest city, Ho Chi Minh City is an exciting hub in the south of the country where you can explore the unique blend of modern architecture and French colonial buildings.

Day 2  Ho Chi Minh City    
Today, immerse yourself in the history of the Vietnam War with a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels nestled in the jungles near the city. This 130-mile-long network of tunnels formed a strategic base for the Viet Cong during the war. Observe the bamboo traps and camouflaged pits that were hidden around the surrounding jungle, choose to crawl through sections of the tunnels and visit the shooting range. Return to Ho Chi Minh City for a guided tour of the city’s fascinating sights, including the Reunification Palace, the former CIA building and the Ben Thanh Market.

Day 3  Ho Chi Minh City    
Spend a day at leisure exploring more of this historic city. Perhaps visit the War Remnants Museum to see artifacts and photographs holding powerful stories from the country’s devastating conflicts of the 20th Century. Alternatively, explore the modern side of the city with a visit to the impressive Landmark 81 skyscraper, which offers great panoramas from its observation decks on the 79th to 81st floors.

Day 4  Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An    
Transfer to the airport and fly north to Da Nang. From the airport, transfer to your resort on the lovely central Vietnam coastline, just a short drive from the historic town of Hoi An.

Day 5  Hoi An    
Unwind at your lovely beach resort, lounging beside the pool or wandering along the white sands of Cua Dai beach. Try some of the activities available at the resort, such as exploring the surroundings by kayak or playing a game of beach volleyball.

Day 6  Hoi An    
Discover the highlights of central Vietnam on a guided excursion today. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of My Son, a complex of abandoned Hindu temples built by the Champa Kingdom. Afterwards, visit Hoi An’s captivating old town, stopping for lunch before exploring the traditional buildings, elaborately decorated Chinese communal hall and lantern-lit lanes of this delightful city.

Days 7-8  Hoi An  
Indulge in a couple of days of relaxation at the resort or exploring more of the surroundings at your own pace.

Day 9  Hoi An    
Taste the delicious flavours of Vietnam with an included cooking class. Start with a visit to the local market where you will pick up the freshest ingredients. Learn to make traditional Vietnamese dishes before savouring your wonderful creations for lunch.

Days 10-11  Hoi An    
Enjoy a final day at leisure, soaking up the sun from the beautiful beach. The following day, transfer back to the airport for your onward flight.
