Dubai & Zanzibar

Days 1-3  Dubai, UAE  
Welcome to the towering skyscrapers and sandy beaches of Dubai, an urban playground that blends relaxation with retail therapy. Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Spend the next couple of days exploring this metropolis, from the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, that prominently towers above the skyline, to the thrills and spills of Aquaventure Waterpark, located on The Palm. If you have got the time, why not treat yourself to an evening canal cruise over a meal and watch the illuminated city pass you by or pick something up from the mall, stopping to take in the tantalising water show at Dubai Fountain.      

Day 4  Dubai to Zanzibar, Tanzania    
Today, fly to the gorgeous archipelago of Zanzibar, in the Indian Ocean. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in the historic heart of the island, Stone Town.  

Days 5-6  Zanzibar  
Wander the cobbled streets of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, taking in the rich tapestry of history that unfolds around every corner. Discover the House of Wonders and the late 17th Century Old Fort, testaments to the different powers and influences that have shaped this city. Whilst out exploring, head to the childhood home of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, a now exhibit and monument to the artist. As the sun sets, watch the night markets come to life with vendors offering up the freshest seafood. Visit Forodhani Gardens, one of the most notable open-air markets and enjoy the catch of the day.

Days 7-13  Zanzibar    
This morning, you will be transferred to your hotel on the coast. Enjoy powder white sands set to the backdrop of turquoise ocean as you unwind in paradise. Spend your mornings making the most of the facilities at your hotel, from the treatments at the spa to lounging poolside under swaying palm trees. If you want to explore further afield, perhaps board a traditional dhow boat and set sail to the nearby Menai Bay conservation area, a famous sea-turtle breeding habitat, for a bit of snorkelling.    

Day 14  Zanzibar    
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
